THE GOOD ONES

turned bad
and back
to good
and back
to bad again
with alacrity.
Which was which
and which time
depended
on which way
we turned
toward
or away
from each
other both
or singly
at the same
time.
We each left
blood spatters
on each other's body
and clothes.
The dry cleaner
would run
after us
waving
our garments
in front
trying
to get
our attention
and make us
stop.
We were
too busy
having
fun.
